Tabletop RPGs, by what players say
The 300 most-discussed roleplaying games, 98 of them rated from people who actually played them. Rate the ones you know.
How the numbers work
Geek rating comes from people who played. For the 100 most-discussed games, we read the r/rpg threads that read most like play reports, kept only firsthand accounts ("I ran it for 20 sessions"), and rated each thread 1 to 10 for the play it describes. A game's rating is the average of its threads, weighted by how many firsthand reports each holds, then blended with 8 reports' worth of 5.5 so a game with little evidence can't top the list. It's an AI reading of real comments, so every thread it used is linked on the game's page.
Player rating is yours: visitors rate 1 to 10, one rating per game per browser and device.
Discussion measures talk, not quality: how many of 49,257 r/rpg posts from October 2023 to October 2026 name the game, plus its own subreddit and its Wikipedia readers, on a scale where each point is twice the talk. D&D runs past 10 so it doesn't squash everything else. Hype is discussion for the game's age: twice as old and twice as discussed reads the same.
Rules weight, the one-line descriptions and tags are an AI's summary of each game, not measurements. If one is wrong, tell me.
